Karen Buscemi, NP is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who has over 35 years of experience treating older adults.

She holds a Master's Degree in Gerontological Nursing from the University of Connecticut, and a Post-Master's Certificate from the University of Massachusetts as an Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.

Karen has a long history of providing competent and empathic care to older adults in acute care, long-term care, home care and rehabilitative settings.

She has extensive experience with geriatric program development, including evidence-based fall prevention, medication error prevention, and safe patient handling strategies.

Karen is currently volunteering with the Age and Dementia Friendly initiative, and South Hadley's TRIAD program to help improve the quality of lives of local older adults.
